Welcome to Allan Storjohann's New Gardening Show

Allan Storjohann is a graduate of Oklahoma State University with a Master’s Degree in Horticulture. A third generation nurseryman, Allan has been actively involved in the nursery and landscape business for most of his life and has worked for six nurseries and three professional lawn maintenance firms. Since 1978 Allan has been an educator and has developed and taught a wide variety of horticulture classes, seminars and workshops. He is an Oklahoma Certified Nurseryman and past president of the Oklahoma Greenhouse Growers Association and the Oklahoma Horticulture Society. He is also active in the American Horticulture Society and the American Public Gardens Association.

Since May 1991, Allan has been the manager of the Myriad Botanical Gardens and Crystal Bridge Tropical Conservatory, a division of the Oklahoma City Parks and Recreation Department. This premier garden offers a wide range of events, educational opportunities and entertainment to Oklahoma citizens and draws visitors from all over the world.

Prior to this Allan was an Associate Professor at Oklahoma State University in Oklahoma City from 1980 to 1991 where he developed and taught a broad range of horticulture courses. He was appointed as head of the OSU-OKC horticulture department in 1985 and remained there until 1991.

Each Saturday morning Allan uses his experiences, background and education as the host of the new KRMG gardening show. A seasoned radio personality, he has answered gardening questions and promoted hobby and business horticulture in Oklahoma on the air every Saturday since 1984.

An avid gardener and voyager, Allan has toured many public and private gardens and periodically offers special guided tours to places of interest.
